How our giveaways work

We run giveaways on the live stream. Here’s how each one works, what to type, and what to do if you win.

Keyword giveawaysType to enter

Type the word. You’re in.

Captions are on. Turn the sound up for the voiceover.
  1. During the show we open a keyword giveaway and put the word on screen.
  2. Type that word in the live chat before the timer runs out. Capitals don’t matter, and it still counts inside a longer message.
  3. Each name gets one entry, however many times you type it.
  4. When the timer ends, entries close. Anything typed after that doesn’t count.
  5. ENTRIES ARE IN puts the names that made it in up on screen, and we draw the winner from that list, live.
Like goal giveawaysLikes count

Every like moves the meter.

Captions are on. Turn the sound up for the voiceover.
  1. The like meter on screen climbs with the stream’s likes, toward a ladder of goals.
  2. When the likes pass a goal, the screen celebrates and that goal’s giveaway is switched on.
  3. We then start it as a keyword giveaway. Watch for the word and type it in the chat before the timer runs out.
  4. Then the meter heads for the next goal.

Before the show

  1. Join the SLIRPZRIPZ Discord. Join the Discord
  2. Set your nickname in our server to your eBay name. The draw uses the names in the live chat, and those are eBay names.

How to set it. In any channel of our server, type /nick then your eBay name, and press enter. On a computer you can also right-click your name and choose Edit Per-server Profile.

It only changes your name in our server. Every other server keeps your usual name.

On the stream

  1. We ask a question on stream.
  2. Answer it in the live chat. Any message with the right answer counts, and you can have more than one go.
  3. Then we call a ready check. Type the ready word on screen, usually ready, before the countdown ends.
  4. Everyone who answered right and said ready goes on the wheel.
  5. The winner is drawn live, so you need to be watching.
VS THE WORLDMystery pack

One contestant. Everyone else is THE WORLD.

Captions are on. Turn the sound up for the voiceover.
  1. We pick one viewer off the wheel to be the contestant. The contestant doesn’t buy a spot.
  2. Everyone else can grab a mystery pack from the VS THE WORLD listing in the Items tab: one sealed booster pack from the show’s pool.
  3. The pack is yours. We rip it live or send it sealed, or message us to give it to the community giveaway.
  4. Each mystery pack comes with one VS THE WORLD entry at no extra cost, so your name joins THE WORLD.
  5. Every World name gives the contestant one matching spot, and those spots cost the contestant nothing.
  6. When entries close, every name goes on the wheel and names come off one at a time. The last name standing wins the prize shown on screen.

Full terms, including the prize, are in each eBay listing. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law aren’t affected.
